• Installs for you alone, no administrator prompt. An ordinary installer: Start menu, desktop shortcut, uninstalls from Settings like anything else.
• About 6.5 GB in total. The installer is small and downloads the language model while it installs. After that the document work runs offline.
• Windows will show a SmartScreen warning. This build is not code-signed yet. Choose “More info” → “Run anyway”, and check the SHA-256 on the download page first — that is what proves the file is the one we published.
• 16 GB of RAM recommended. An NVIDIA GPU answers in seconds; on a CPU-only laptop an answer takes tens of seconds. Windows on ARM is not supported.

Why it stays on your PC

SealedBrief runs as two separate processes. The one that reads your documents, runs the model and holds the index has no network access. The other draws the window and checks your licence and updates — it never carries your documents or your questions. You don't have to take that on trust: run a packet capture while it answers, using the steps on the verify-it-yourself page.

Honest trade-offs: a model on your own hardware is not the frontier cloud model you may be used to — treat answers as a careful first draft and check the citations. Windows is our newest build; the download page lists what that means.
